Michigan is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting Michigan’s environment. We will accomplish this
by removing illegally dumped refuse from Michigan’s state lands and public waterways, developing and promoting a recycling
program aimed at protecting Michigan’s existing natural resources, and through the promotion of recycling education
programs. By doing these things we are working to make these areas into pollution free natural resource attractions
which can be enjoyed by recreational users for years to come, reduce the health risks associated with pollutants commonly
found in illegally dumped waste, and stimulate Michigan’s economy through the proven economical benefits of recycling.
What's going on!
With the help of eleven volunteers we were able to remove nearly 1000
pounds of illegally dumped refuse, from state lands along Pond Rd., during the clean up event held on 8/14/2009.
