Clean Michigan is a local charitable organization established to remove refuse from Michigan's state lands and public waterways.  Our mission is to see these public lands and waterways become a pollution free natural resource attraction.

Clean Michigan is proud to announce our participation in Michigan's Department of Natural Resources Adopt-a-Forest program.  Last year we removed two locations from their dump site database, and we are planning on continuing to support this program in the coming summer.  We would also like to thank the DNR for funding the refuse dumping fees from these events.  If you would like more information about the Adopt-a-Forest program please visit their homepage at www.cleanforests.org.

            What's going on!

Clean Michigan has recently started an electronic recycling drive.  During this recycling drive we will be accepting donations of used cell phones, ink cartridges, laptop computers, digital cameras, hand held gaming devices, and MP3 players.  These items all contain many pollutants and it is important that they be disposed of properly.  Currently there is a drop off point located at the Mini Market, located at 404 West Main Street, Belding, MI.  There will also be a drop off point in the covered mall March 26, 27, and 28th, during the Belding Chamber of Commerce Indoor Yard and Craft Sale.

Clean Michigan would also like to thank the Mini Market and the Belding Chamber of Commerce for their help with this recycling drive.

Clean Michigan is currently gearing up for the 2009 year. The first clean-up is scheduled for May 2 just outside of Belding. We will be meeting at the bridge on Long Lake Road at 10:00 a.m.  Hope to see you there weather permiting thank you.
